Mukluks

Inuvialuit women sew a variety of mukluks, including kamiks (boots with fur), slippers, and guawaqs (embroidered boots). Some of the techniques are also shared by Gwich'in artists, another aboriginal group within the Northwest Territories. Examples of the types of boots made are on the header of the website. Some boots and slippers were sewn by Myrna and others were gifts from family and friends (Inuvialuit, Gwich'in, and Metis artists).
